Company History
Virginia Cast Stone, Inc. was founded in 1997 by David Foresman with a vision to produce innovative, high-quality architectural cast stone. Prior to establishing the company, Mr. Foresman served as founder and president of Siteworks, Inc., a Houston, Texas–based cast stone manufacturer. His background includes more than twelve years of direct experience in the cast stone industry, along with an additional decade in high-end architectural design and construction—experience that continues to influence our standards, processes, and approach today.
Where we are today
Today, Virginia Cast Stone is led by President Atlee Goodling and owned by the Lanahan family of Albemarle County, Virginia, who stand firmly behind both our product and our people. Our manufacturing facility in Waynesboro, Virginia features a fully integrated, in-house pattern and mold-making shop, along with both wet-cast and dry-tamp casting capabilities. This vertical integration allows us to maintain exceptional quality control, consistency, and responsiveness on projects of all sizes and complexity. From early design coordination through final delivery, our team is committed to supporting architects, contractors, and owners with dependable service and proven results.
